An Editors Pick For: Kyle Anderson

So as you may or may not know "An Editors Pick For" is our way of styling our favorite people in the industry! Today we are doing my Idol, Marie Claire's Accessories Director Kyle Anderson! I got inspired to do this post a couple days ago when we read a certain tweet from him and we thought it would be fun to switch up Kyle's style and put some change in his life! Of course we are only picking looks from American Fashion Designers and although I think Kyle's style may be too Fashion Forward for American Designers, we did our best to pick perfect looks for him!

I decided pick looks that have elements of Kyle Anderson current style but still taking him out of his "comfort zone" a bit!

This first look is from the Spring 2012 Michael Kors! We pick this looks (and majority of the other looks) Because it features a Leather Jacket which is right in Kyle's comfort zone! The light pant is a piece hat may be different for him but instead of  the sandal we would put a black boot or one of his many Prada shoes with this!

The next look can be considered simple but the darker color pallet without being a completely black look is why I pick this! I personally love this Yigal Azrouel Fall 2012 look, especally the sleeves on this Statement Jacket! If we had to change this look for Kyle I would add a more statement making shoe just to funk it up!

I would throw this Marc Jacobs Fall 2012 look on Kyle Anderson and would not change a thing! We have a leather jacket and a hint of fur on the hip! The only thing we would add is a Bag! Thats it.

Bloggers Love Stylists: Alison Pieroni!

Now my blog normally focuses on American Fashion Designers but when a friend does something major I will of course talk about it! Fashion Stylist and Friend Alison Pieroni helped with the Nation Prom Campaign Shoot with Tuxedo Junction! I was actually at H&M when she was pulling accessories for the Ladies and the shoot came of amazing! Its perfect for prom season! I just want to send her a big congratulations on her first big shoot! We love you Alison!

We actually notice the black H&M Pumps on the girl in the blue dress! Below is a picture of the H&M pump! The pump comes in Five different and they are a great shoe for everyday wear! As you can see they look great with a cropped pant!

From The Runway To The Press: Vivienne Tam!

This post is dedicated to a designer who truly has a special place in my heart, American Fashion Designer Vivienne Tam is on the Front Page of Women's Wear Daily today and I am so excited for her! This garment is from her Fall 2010 collection and it was my second favorite thing that walked down the runway (the first was this amazing White Shearling Jacket) but I am very pleased with the choice of this particular piece! First of all its a Statement Coat with a print, which is perfect for something like a editorial photo shoot, or the cover of Women's Wear Daily lol! I am completely obsessed with the huge fur collar, the print is visually interesting and the belt is a great detail!  I could see people in the industry wanting to pre- order this coat to add to there wardrobe!

Celebrities Wear: Tadashi Shoji

So last night BET premiered the Celebration of Gospel and I could sit here for hours and talk about how amazing it was! Season's 3 Sundays Best winner Gospel Recording Artist Le'Andria Johnson brought viewers to there feet in praise my God she did an amazing job! Le'Andria Johnson was Styled by Stylist Douglas Hickman Jr and she looked great! Your know we personally appreciated that she wore American Designers, A dress by Fashion Designer Tadashi Shoji and shoes by L.A.M.B. (We know this because he tweeted it last night! hehehe)

We were able to Find the dress online at Neiman Marcus but lets talk about Tadashi Shoji First! American Fashion Designer Tadashi Shoji does amazing things when it comes to dresses and gowns! He was responsible for Octavia Spencer's look at the SAG Awards and the Oscars, where she won at both award shows! His Spring 2012 collection was absolutely beautiful, dresses for all occasions! The best part about Tadashi Shoji garments other than the fact that his dresses fit well on all body types is the price point of his garments! This designer is extremely well priced, most of his dresses are around the $325 price range give or take, which is amazing considering his recent publicity!

A Bloggers Pick: Staci Sherri

Its time for another Bloggers Pick and today we are featuring Fashion Designer Staci Sherri! Staci Sherri is an up and coming designer who makes some really cool and funky pieces! This post we will be featuring her "Just Like Me" Tee!

I appreciate the positive message this Tee gives to young girls! From a fashion point of view, the cut on the tee is perfect because the neck line/chest area is a great area to showoff for all body types!

You can dress it up with a Blazer, your favorite bottom and heel for a night out! Or be causal and layer it with a Denim Button Down or Cardigan with tons of Arm Accessories, Skinny Jeans or Knee length skirt with some combat boots or flats to run around in!

Celebrities Wear: Falguni And Shane Peacock

Friday night on Fashion Police singer Christina Milian appeared on the show as a co- host in a Spring 2012 look from Falguni and Shane Peacock! Below is a picture of Christina Milian in the dress!

Falguni and Shane Peacock are kind of new to the New York fashion scene but are making a huge name for themselves! Dresses from the designers have been worn by singer/song writer Jessie J, Michelle Williams (Destiny's Child), Kelly Rowland, Ashanti and they designed the outfits for all of the background dancers at the Super Bowl Performance featuring Madonna, Nicki Minaj and M.I.A.! As far as there pieces go this brand is a hit or miss for majority of there pieces depending on your personal style. They do go over the top with there dresses but that's what love about them. For example below are two pictures of the dress walking the runway and if you take off the hanging fabric part of the dress you have a dress that every girl would want to wear! The print is amazing, the detail on the shoulder is perfect and the sheer arm part is so trendy and unexpected; then you add that hanging piece and to most the dress is now doing to much, but that is the best part! They may over design a bit but they have an audience who are looking for those unique unexpected qualities and celebrities are requesting Falguni and Shane Peacock because they know there getting a garment that will make a statement and get them notice! I am looking forward to seeing more from Falguni and Shane Peacock in the near future!

Accessory Wish List: Jenni Kayne D' Orsay Flat

 So everyday for the past week or so I have been attempting to visit a new American Fashion Designers Website just to get a feel of who they are and to learn a little about them as a designer, the price point of there pieces (Because that's important for my blog) and most important to check out there RTW Garments so I can get a feel for there customer! Today I ventured to fashion designers Jenni Kayne official website and I was beyond pleased! On her website I came across this piece that I can honestly say I was on the fence about at first but once I began to style them in my mind I fell in love with this shoe, the Jenni Kayne D' Orsay Flat! This flat read a little old to me at first... but then I realized I was attracted to that quality and even though it is a flat they kind of come across as a mix between a Loafer and a Flat which makes these very original in my eyes!

These flats come in a lot of fun trendy colors and would look amazing with a summer dress and a small cross- body bag but rock them however you want!  I definitely hope these D' Orsay Flats sell out and are walking the streets all over!
