DW KANYE WEST REVIEW

So let me start off by saying I'm sorry i have not done a post in a while, I've been slightly busy and i just kind of needed a small break, but I'm back at it again so why not start off with a strong post, The Kanye West Spring 2012 Collection That Was Shown In Paris(We really dont agree with that but...)! This was one of the most talked about and most anticipated collection among the Fashion Community in a long time. So what did i think about the collection CLICK READ MORE TO FIND OUT

Well the collection was very interesting The color pallet seemed to be a lot of Blacks, Whites and Nudes with pops of color. Kanye had a lot of variety in this collection from Knitted pieces to a Fur Backpack (Which I Die For). He did some Colored Block looks, Extreme Deep V-necks and Cut Out Pieces. He Had everything from Fur Vest to sexy Mini Dresses and Hot pants.

 MORE FUR!!!! Those Shoes (WITH FUR DETAIL) are  Giuseppe Zanotti x Kanye West.

 This is another dress i see on Ciara or Keri Hilson. I really like the cut out details on this piece.

I love this Maxi Skirt. The Ruffled bottom is cool!

On A scale of one to ten, ten being the best, I would give the collection and solid five. There was some amazing Piece in this collection,All of the Fur Numbers, That Mermaid Inspired Maxi Skirt, the Nude Cut Out Dress with the Sleeves And most of this collection is Separates and ready to wear...But Kanye's Collection is just all over the plays. Those Extra Long Leather Don't look Fashion Forward, They look to big. I also Felt like he pulled a lot of ideas from American Designers, Herve Leger and Alexander Wang, Some of the separates look a Little Adam Lippes and that Maxi Skirt Looks a little Christian Siriano. Kanye Is Known for his sense of style, he takes fashion risks and thinks outside of the box and with this collection i personally don't believe he made this girl a Fashion Forward girl and i really dont like the name plate necklaces. What I will say however is I feel he put together a collection that was completely his vision, and while it may look like some other designers through there pieces in the mix, He did what he Wanted for his first show, despite what the trends are suppose to be.

I Think Kanye would to better with a Ready to Wear Men's Collection... AND IF HE DECIDES TO KEEP THIS UP THEN HE NEED TO SHOW AT LINCOLN CENTER BECAUSE HE SHOULD BE CONSIDERED AN AMERICAN FASHION DESIGNER
