Spring Essential: Tracy Reese

These "Plenty" by Tracy Reese Polly Wedge has been on my mind for about four to five days so I knew I had to blog about them. I think a lot of women might not gravitate to this style of shoe at first just like how i wasn't sure about them when I first saw them but the more that I stared at them the more I realize how perfect they are for the Tracy Reese customer! The "girly" girl, the woman that enjoys a dress and feeling feminine but still comfortable at the same time.

From The Runway To The Press/Streets: Tracy Reese

So i did my best to shorten the title of this post because its a lot of things rapped into one post. Last night as i was flipping through my April 2012 Issue of Nylon Magazine and on Page 62 I spotted a Spring 2012 look from one of my favorite designers, Tracy Reese! I was so excited to see her look in a magazine because I rarely see Tracy Reese Garments in magazines so it was a nice surprise! American Fashion Designer Tracy Reese is arguably the most relevant and most successful African American Designer currently showing under the tents! Her customers and celebrities like Taylor Swift love her feminine designs, she is well know for her beautiful frocks and dress and celebrities like Kelly Rowland and Ciara sit front her runway shows!

Below is a picture of the Tracy Reese Spring 2012 Look featured  in Nylon Magazine!

Here is a picture of the Tracy Reese dress from the official website! The dress is $375, which is an average Tracy Reese price! To make this look more everyday casual layer it with a over sized cardigan and you can still wear the the wedges or pair it a pair of loafers or flats.

Ladies whats your opinion on the Tracy Reese Dress!

An Editors Pick For: Michelle Obama

Hello Fashionites, I want to start off by sending a shout out to friend and Fashion Stylist Raymond Gee (@Ray_Gee) and American Fashion Brand United Bamboo (@UnitedBamboo) for this post inspiration! Raymond Gee and I had a small conversation on twitter and United Bamboo tweeted us this simple, chic amazing Printed Dress that was perfect for the working woman! I immediately thought of First Lady Michelle Obama because the dress is classic Michelle Obama with a cardigan and a pair of kitten heels. Then I began to think, why not change up her style, make her more fashion forward and edgy but still appropriate for spring!

Lets first began with the amazing Orange Print Sleeveless United Bamboo Dress! Classic First Lady attire with an interesting print and detailing on the shoulders!

To View this United Bamboo Dress Click Here

The next looks are coming right from the runway! I'm not sure if Michelle Obama will buy off the the runway but these are great silhouette that i will take her style to the next level and of course since we focus on American Fashion all of the looks are from American Designer Brands!

The first look is from the Cushnie et Ochs Spring 2012 Collection! This look is a great choice for a press event or T.V. appearance! It has an amazing neck line that shows skin without actually reveling anything but still having  a very sexy and edgy feel, especially for a pant suit! The only thing i would change is the color to a Nude, Orange or Navy!

We picked this Pre- Fall Peter Som dress because its perfect everyday wear for the First Lady! I think the print is great, and the silhouette would work well with Loafers if decided that it wasn't a "heels" type of day! This Peter Som look is another great press option as well for a casual event!

Now I think a lot of readers might think I'm pushing it with this Tracy Reese Pre- Fall look but I wanted to give a look that would push the boundaries and this look a upgraded concept of the T- Shirt and Jean look. This is a great fashion forward everyday look; The printed pant with the colored block lace top works well together! This look on Michelle Obama would get great attention from the press in a heartbeat!

MERCEDES BENZ FASHION WEEK DAY FOUR: TRACY REESE

Alright So y'all know Tracy Reese is my favorite designer, and if i could go to any Fashion Show It would be hers. Her Spring 2012 Collection did not disappoint me in the least bit! I was so excited to watch her collection walk down the runway via Youtube. What i loved about this collection is not only to the pieces work well together as a complete outfit but they are easy fashion forward pieces that can be worked into the real woman's wardrobe. I love the styling in this collection, the hair and makeup was flawless. There were some printed platforms in this collection that were to die for. Her use of prints, and detailing with ruffles is like signature Tracy to me. She creates beautiful pieces for the lady who love to dress with a feminine style and grace to her. I really adore this collection, The finale look, which is the last picture on this post was so strong, and that model worked that look down the runway. Below are picture of my favorite looks from the collection taken directly from style.com
